Five layers. One mission.

Every layer feeds the next - from space to the ground to your phone in minutes.

🛰
Layer 1

Satellite Detection

NASA FIRMS VIIRS sensors detect heat signatures at 375m resolution, updated every 10 minutes.

🌲
Layer 2

IoT Ground Sensors

Solar-powered sensors detect CO, VOC, and PM2.5 at the smoldering phase within 3 minutes of ignition.

🧠
Layer 3

AI Fusion Engine

Cross-validates satellite, sensor, and camera data. Eliminates false positives. Assigns severity score.

📡
Layer 4

Instant Alerts

SMS and email alerts go directly to firefighter units with GPS coordinates and severity.

🚁
Layer 5

Drone Response

Autonomous drones launch from solar hangars, confirm fire via infrared, and drop retardant.

Why WildfireNet Exists

Every year, wildfires grow more frequent and more destructive. Families lose their homes. Entire communities are displaced. And the smoke doesn't stay at the fire line - it travels hundreds of miles, filling the lungs of people who never saw a flame.

This project started on a summer day in Michigan when the windows were closed, eyes were burning, and the air tasted like ash from fires burning in Canada. If the smoke could travel that far, the warning should too.

WildfireNet exists to close the gap between when a fire starts and when the people who need to know - firefighters, families, emergency managers - actually find out. The technology was already there. We connected it.
